Housing in the Gold Coast
Students are accommodated in on-campus residence halls or in an off-campus apartment. Room assignments are based on availability. Please note that while CIS Abroad makes every effort to accommodate your housing preferences, we cannot guarantee that all personal preferences will be met. We have carefully selected safe and suitable housing for each student, and each living arrangement is unique and special in its own way.
Student Residences

Those who choose on-campus housing will reside in a student residence hall with other students. CIS Abroad students are usually housed in Building B, located directly above the student building. The average commute to classes from the residence halls is 5-10 minutes.
The student residences offer double occupancy rooms with single beds, ensuite bathrooms, bed linens, bedside table, desk, chair, lamp, closet, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and weekly cleaning.
The residences also feature a common room with sofa, dining table, TV, kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle, and panini press. Free laundry service is located near all rooms.
Students living on campus must be enrolled in a meal plan. Students can choose between a partial meal plan, which includes approximately 10-14 meals per week (depending on the food and amount purchased) or a full meal plan, which includes approximately 17-21 meals per week.
Off-Campus Apartments

Students who opt to live in off-campus housing will reside in beachside apartments with other students. The average commute to classes from the apartments is 20 minutes by bus. A bus pass loaded with 200 AUD is included for this housing option.
These fully-furnished 2-bedroom/2-bathroom apartments feature two twin shared bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The apartments also feature a fully equipped kitchen, a separate lounge area, and a balcony. The apartment complex also offers a 25 meter heated lap pool, sauna, steam room, spa, and a gym.
Please be aware that while we exclusively accommodate students in this housing, it is not solely dedicated to student housing. As such, the bedrooms might not have a designated study desk. However, most students find comfortable study spaces at the kitchen table, nearby cafes, or the well-equipped Bond University Library on campus.
Students who choose this housing option will not have an on-campus meal plan included in the fee, but may purchase one once on-site. The apartments are located amongst many restaurants, cafes and shops, making it an ideal choice for someone who likes to dine out frequently or cook at home.
Maintaining a Harmonious Living Environment
When sharing living spaces, it is important to act responsibly and considerately toward your fellow residents. This includes being mindful of noise levels, turning off lights and closing windows when not in use, and adhering to specific rules outlined in your housing contract.
The goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and healthy living environment for all residents. Rules may vary depending on the program, but these guidelines are in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy their time in their housing choice.
- Communicate effectively with your roommates and neighbors. Establish ground rules for noise levels and other activities, and work together to create a peaceful and comfortable living space.
- Show respect to the other occupants in your apartment or residence. Clean up after yourself and ensure your living space is always tidy and organized.
- Be polite to your neighbors, greet them in the hallways, and avoid disturbing them late at night.
- Maintain the safety of yourself, your roommates, and your belongings. Be cautious about inviting guests and overnight stays.
- Take responsibility for your own cooking and cleaning. Wash your dishes daily and keep the bathroom clean. Avoid leaving your personal items in common areas.
- Keep in mind that you are financially responsible for the condition of the apartment. Additional cleaning may incur charges. Damages to the apartment will be your responsibility to cover.
